SERVICES AT ALL SOULS

SUNDAYS; Holy Eucharist and Sunday School at 08.30

WEDNESDAYS; Holy Eucharist at 09.00

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there is just one Sunday service, at 8.30. Music styles alternate between choir with organ and guitar led singing. For details of which style is when, please see the Service duty roster.

CHILDRENS’ CHURCH (we prefer not to refer to it as Sunday School) is at 8.30 for all 5-12 year olds under the supervision of Marilyn Ingram, with Angela Coppin, Bianca Steyn, Sarah Rushmer and Michelle Botha as leaders. Starting in the Sunday School room, they will come into church after the sermon, and go out again after receiving a blessing ( communion for those who have been admitted to communion – see web-page ) at communion time. Children’s Church meets all year round except for the December-January holiday period. During this period families are encouraged to attend together at the Eucharist, and there are activity sets available for restless children. Ask for them from the sidespeople.

There is tea after the service in the church hall. Come and have a cuppa and something to eat and get to know one another. The current small team of tea hosts and hostesses is looking for new members to assist them. Contact Lynn Bass or Anna Rushmer via the parish office.

We are grateful to have Fr John Rodda, a self-supporting priest who previously served in the parish of Germiston, presiding and preaching on most Sundays. The Rev’d Professor Dr John Rodda is a semi-retired paediatric neurologist from Baragwanath Hospital and the University of the Witwatersrand.

WEEKDAYS

There is a weekday Holy Eucharist at 9am on Wednesdays. Very often our Bishop, Bishop Charles May, presides and preaches at the service. On other weeks our Archdeacon, Dean Basil Matthews, will do it himself or arrange a priest. We have been blessed on many occasions by Fr Peter Whitehead, a self-supporting priest from the parish of Kempton Park, and Chaplain to O R Tambo airport.
